Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Haute Couture collection by Bertrand Guyon

Schiaparelli Fall 2017 opened the Haute Couture fashion shows in Paris and was the first one for the French maison as official member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. The collection, designed by Bertrand Guyon, is a celebration of the style and aesthetic of Elsa Schiaparelli‘s work, always contaminated by surrealistic and her contemporary artistic references. Silk crepe dresses, pink bomber jackets on evening gowns, locks and lobsters. The designer grabbed inspiration from the East tradition, Japanese kimonos, Chinese flowers and Elsa Schiaparelli’s vision on East culture. Another source of inspiration was the photographer  Guy Bourdin, the way he portrayed the 70’s, so soft and fluid.
