12th – 14th June 2020, the Spring / Summer 2021 collections

The countdown has started! Launching 12th June 2020 at 12 p.m, London Fashion Week will be the first 100% digital fashion week ever, whose strong experimental approach will be decisive in the future of Fashion broadcasting as we know it.

With the beginning of lockdown in Europe in March, the British Fashion Council has canceled its menswear fashion week in June and has replaced it with a co-ed schedule: there will be many ready-to-wear womenswear brands (Roksanda, Marques’Almeida and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, among others) showcasing their Spring-Summer 2021 collections, alongside other well-known brands such as Chalayan, Iceberg and River Island, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Stephen Jones and Mulberry.
Everything will take place behind closed doors – due to the Coronavirus social restrictions-  but it will be digitally inclusive and accessible to anyone on the website https://londonfashionweek.co.uk/.

Alongside live traditional-format fashion shows, the London Fashion Week platform will provide interviews, podcasts, movies, webinars, digital showrooms, designers’ confessions and even DJ sets, promising an entire weekend of fashion which will be definitely intense and richly stimulating.
In numbers: 51 the audiovisual events, 72 the hours of fashion; hundreds of brands involved, 34 of which will be present in the official schedule; 34 the retailers, 23 the media and 6 the international partner brands.

Despite some big names – such as Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham and Christopher Kane – will be missing the schedule, this fashion week edition will not fail to give room to young fashion designers, like the talents graduated from Central Saint Martins and University of Westminster fashion schools; much curiosity is arising instead for the “3D film” presented by The Webster X Natasha Zinko.

In addition to the press material, SHOWbit Photo Agency will be committed to providing further high definition stills and video images, which will be uploaded on our database in real-time.

Stay tuned on SHOWbit.com and enjoy London Fashion Week!
