Marc Jacobs closes New York Fashion Week with his Spring Summer 2018 collection of re-interpreted archives
Marc Jacobs’ Spring Summer 2018 collection was a “exaggerated, decadent and exotic” re-interpretation of his classics from the archives. In the last 25 years the designer first shaped the style in the 90’s (starting with his “grunge collection”) then he presented creations that would reflect his own vision about society. Now, thinking of New York City, the new collection is a dedication to his own work through the years.
The show closed the fashion week in the Big Apple, and, right before London Fashion Week, he offers a silent and unique show at the Park Avenue Armory.
Stephen Jones designed the silk turbans; beads, sequins, draped garments and loose items.
