“Between the lines”: Iris Van Herpen Spring 2017 Haute Couture Colection

Iris Van Herpen stands for ‘experimentation’. The German fashion designer every year proposes collections made out of new fabrics, materials and 3D printing. For this Spring 2017 she designed a collection, called “Between the lines” and presented during Paris Haute Couture, made out of painted polyurethane and then applied on sheer silk tulle. An ultra-light second skin, something artificial that is getting closer to human evolution.

The designer grabbed inspiration from the painting and installations by Esther Stoker, an artist who likes to play with lines, spaces.
