We can easily assert that the creative mind pulling the strings of Frère is a master tailor at heart. It’s the first time Davidson Petit-Frère is bringing the expertise in menswear tailoring on New York Fashion Week‘s catwalks, with his considerable experience in bespoke suiting: it’s a matter of love for classical aesthetic and timeless beauty, built upon meticulous attention for fine materials, research of the perfect fit – in slim cuts – and rigor in fabrication detailing.
Daywear and eveningwear are melded in the Ready-to-Wear collection for Spring/Summer 2020, where high tailoring is interspersed with luxurious sportswear: therefore, suits and blazers in traditional men’s wear fabrics – as pinstripes and herringbones – encounter suede baseball jackets and bomber suits, often paired with shorts. For evening, the preciousness factor is added by the shiny champagne or sky blue hues and bow ties: paisley-patterned blazers, kaleidoscopic prints and lavish embroideries counterbalance the monochromatic suits, conferring a veritable refined result that cannot go unnoticed.
