A footwear selection from the RTW collections

The designers challenge our very notion of what footwear should be with their brand new creations sent on catwalks.

Real eye-catchers of the fashion shows, they’re conceived in order to give a spectacular effect and express a coherent message in line with the entire clothing collection.

Miu Miu brings on catwalk a collision between the 50’s and the 80’s, addressing to girls who just want to have fun with fashion: their feet wore flat booties embellished with bows and paillettes, and satin shoes that were folded down over the foot.

The very high heels couldn’t miss on the Vivienne Westwood‘s runway: Shoes must have very high heels and platforms to put women’s beauty on a pedestal“, she affirmed in occasion of her shoe exhibition at The Bowes Museum.

Rick Owens and Balmain went for architectural and sculptural shapes; by contrast, Piccione.Piccione opted for elegant shoes embellished with precious stones and bows.

Paco Rabanne‘s slippers were covered with the brand’s signature silver metallic plates.

We tracked the jolie-laide shoes – from décolletés to ankle-straps and boots – from the Ready-to-Wear Fall 2018 collections presented at the latest Fashion Weeks, and we gathered them into a photo gallery. Check it out!
