From the Fall Winter 2017 collections, clothes treated like design pieces
Just like design creations, the clothes presented on the Fall 2017 catwalks have innovative shapes and sharp volumes. The attention is focused on the upper body, where shoulders line is outsized and pointy.
Haider Ackermann‘s Fall 2017 collection’s construction is refined and extremely crafty. Instead of going fluid, the designer chooses a linear silhouette: the collection is rigid, mixing femininity and masculinity, yet glamorous and modern. The geometrical elements on the garments make them darkly playful.
Thierry Mugler, the Starman. Hyper-futuristic, technological, glamorous, the French maison has always design the garments of tomorrow, with eclectic fabrics and elements and with shapes closer to design pieces than to clothes. The Fall 2017 collection has a forward-looking approach, in the choice of the color palette, the fabrics and the silhouette with a big empasis on the sharp shoulders line.
