A bit of Frenchness in Tokyo: Chanel Paris Cosmopolite Collection
After 3 years since the last show in Tokyo, Karl Lagerfeld brings Chanel back to Japan proposing a selection of outfits from the Paris Cosmopolite 2016/2017 Métriers d’art Collection presented at the legendary Ritz Hotel in Paris last December. From Place Vendôme to the Tsunamachi Mitsui Club in Tokyo, the collection doesn’t loose its high level of Frenchness, still holding the spirit of the sophistication of the European luxury.
Sumptuous and “inspired by the evening dresses that women used to wear to dine at Ritz”, what we saw is a collection of exquisite silhouettes with tight waist. Tweed suits and coats, more contemporary padded jackets, embroideries gowns.
