Chanel presents the new Cruise 2018 Collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld
“A dress comes under sculpture, not drawing” used to say Gabrielle Chanel and that was the starting point of the new Chanel Cruise 2018 collection designed by Mr.Lagerfeld and presented in Paris in an Ancient-Greece-inspired environment, with columns and ruins of doric temples.
A classical beauty can be spotted in the harmonious silhouettes, recalling ancient shapes. Karl Lagerfel reflected on the origin of beauty and culture in the Western society.
On the catwalk we saw jersey and mousseline embroidered dresses under classical printed tunics. Everywhere we can spot mythological symbols, like the spirals, meaming movement and dynamism.
