Tom Ford opens New York Fashion Week: glamour and femininity on the Spring Summer 2018 catwalk
Fireworks. Tom Ford opens the womenswear fashion week in New York with his new Spring Summer 2018 collection that marks his return on the stage. The front row was as incredible as the cast of models: Julianne Moore, Kim Kardashian West and Chaka Khan sat among the guests while on the stage we spotted Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Vittoria Ceretti among others. The collection was sleek representing the spirit of the brand: outstanding color palette (from shocking pink to silver to black n’ white), bold shoulder line and dazzling sequins.
Marjon Jonkman wore a high cut nude bodysuit with super-slouchy trousers, extremely sexy, and, alongside the shoulders pads, which are something we’re going to see a lot next year, we spotted pantless models walking down the catwalk. Exaggerated looks, 90’s inspired.
After show, the designer launched the new fragrance Fucking Fabulous during an exclusive party that saw Virgil Abloh, Off White creative director, Dj-ing.
