The power of headgear: from the backstage of the haute couture collections, the best items and beauty secrets
Hats have been one of the most spotted items on the Haute Couture catwalks for the Fall Winter 2017, and so behind the scenes. We entered the most glamorous backstage to catch how headger can add value to make up, how it can hide a face or it can shape a new character.
The color palette goes from satiny hues to dark ones for the make up and for the headgear.
Idan Cohen covers his models’s heads with a shiny bonnet, more like sleek headbands. Giorgio Armani for his Privé collection used black veils to hide the models’s faces and to create a sort of black-widow-effect. Yanina Couture chose furry hoods to frame the beauty of the models walking down the runway.
