The Middle East born designer is back on runways.
For the canadian designer, Jordanian born from a Syrian mother, showing his last collection in Dubai after some years of virtual, just web and video presentations, sounds like a strong step, if not a “come back home”.
This thirty and something guy, gentle and unpretentious, looks perfectly at ease here, easy and happy to speak with people.
His statements though are always for a global and undifferentiated approach, overlooking local concerns.
Which matches the concept underlining all his works, the neutrality of gender, race, religion, social class, that made him launch his “unisex couture” few years ago in Paris, prefiguring a new bias-free, conflictless world.
