Designer Jeremy Scott presented Moschino’s SS17 collection yesterday at Milan fashion week. The invitations came in prescription bottles, prescribed by Dr. Moschino, they read. There was a serious undertone to these, but we didn’t know what to expect from the generally playful and vivacious brand. The runway brought models, including fashion IT girls like Gigi and Bella Hadid, dressed as retro paper dolls, detailed with cardboard jewellery and fold-down tabs on the back. The show carried a voiceover, describing fashion items and their definitions. As if reciting the fashion dictionary. But was there a deeper meaning behind Scott’s fanciful collection and clever use of narrative audio? See for yourself.
