Shayne Oliver X Hood By Air

Shayne Oliver’s experimental style of street wear brought us the baddest of the baddest in New York City yesterday. Models walked in with a wet look, and right away we knew this collection would be no different from Oliver’s usual provocative tactics. And we also knew that this collection, like all others, would bring us something completely different from the last.

There was pain and anguish on the runway. And sort of a neanderthal vibe, instinctive human nature against the predisposed structure of modern society. Classic shirts taped to the front of the body, as if to show the distress of waking up in a world that was so blatantly stuck in a pattern of “norm”. Oliver’s desire for the uncensored truth didn’t go unnoticed. The catwalk became a direct expression of the millennial world, the age of technology, rebellion, and the search for liberation. Slowly undressing the harsh realities of our generation, pornography and the cyber world became the central themes of the show.
