Distinctive traits from Men’s S/S 19 collection
A touch of dark romance is added by Yohji Yamamoto at Paris Fashion Week.
The Men’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection is made of slouchy, baggy and fluid silhouettes the Japanese designer is known for, in a dominant chromatic tone of black. A little addition of colour is in the leather tailored jackets, while utilitarian details and constructed shapes are developed through a lineup that explores cut-outs and cutting pattern experimentation. Zippers are spread at different angles, and drawstrings are applied at the wide bottom trousers.
The Spring 2019 collection sees an artistic approach: the designer uses his clothing as black canvases where to experiment diffent kind of arts, ranging from traditional Japanese art to sketched figures, flowers and tatoo-like elements.
