The debut at Paris Haute Couture Week

Opera prima is a plunge into the Barcelona of the Art Nouveau era; its beautiful facades, the imaginary world and wonderful decorative arts take on a life of their own through Yolanda Pérez‘s Spring-Summer 2019 Haute Couture gowns.

Golden sparkles and splendid embroideries recall the chromatisms of Palau de la Música; multi-print patchworks realized with impalpable fabrics recall to mind the colourful trencadís mosaics.

The founder of Yolancris perfectly knows how to handle rigid fabric into dreamy shaped volumes, as well as more weightless fabrics as tulle, gently expanding down the waist or suddenly springing up on the shoulders.

Nature, asymmetry and organic motifs are additional elements that inspired the talented Spanish designer, who intends celebrating femininity, converting the sinuous and harmonious features of Art Nouveau into an exquisite Haute Couture work of art.
