Students’ Reviews

… a truly valuable experience… I’ve seen how professional photographers work closely, and was able to ask them everything I wasn’t sure about… Showbit’s photographers are great guides to this new world. You feel more stable and comfortable working in the new environment, and get professional feedbacks instantly. Also review sessions were awesome. To be honest, I did not expect that review session would be this good and thorough, since it’s done at the end of the day. Luca very much focused on reviewing my work until late at night. With years of experience and a perspective of an architect, Luca is very good at catching what is good or bad in a second, and he articulated those points into precise words, making me able to get his point very well, with metaphors he’s using. It’s not just a good experience. You actually learn something that would last after the workshop. Not all the artists has this kind of teaching talent. It makes the Showbit workshop really unique. I recommend this workshop to anyone who has a motivation but don’t know where to start, as well as those people who already know how to do things but want to go beyond… Junyong Kim, from Seoul, Backstage workshop in Paris

Unique experience, challenging yourself in an unprecedented world, and with many new people has been wonderful, thank you Luca Lazzari for the experience and the opportubity you’ve given me, and thank you Mattia Arioli, a great person. Hope I’ll be able to apply for the Full workshop next September. Mattia Melis, photo reporter in Sardinia, Street Style workshop

It gave me the opportunity to experience emotions and unique sensations linked to the world of fashion and photography. Incomparable staff at a human and professional point of view. An experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to face the StreetStyle field, figuring out the secrets in intense workdays beside Showbit’s professional team. Alison Tabiaat Verdonck – Full Workshop Runway-Backsage-Street Style in Paris

A wonderful, glamourous, fun experience, strenuous at times, but above all inspirational for all its aesthetic, technical and cultural contents. Giorgio Scarfì, big Leagues waterpolo photographer, Full Workshop in Milan

Marco Giro – Street Style Workshop
The Workshop was very interesting totally immersed in a professional working environment beside expert and skilled photographers. Highly recommended.

Iuri Camilloni – Street Style Workshop
“An extremely useful experience for who’s looking for an educational path in fashion photography.
Personally, I’ve found this workshop greatly rewarding. The added value in this case is not only actively participating in the fashion week, but the continuous feedbacks from the team’s photographers. And the invaluable revision at the end of each day, which enabled a constant improvement of my images, day after day. Having by your side some of the best professionals with years of experience in this field is surely a plus compared with other courses I attended.

Riccardo Bottero – aficionado of SHOWbit’s backstage workshops in Milan, Paris, New York
Personally I’ve choose the backstage experience. Having to face right away the issues related to beauty photography during and after the make up and hair sesions, the management of light indoors with mixed daylight/tungsten/neon/led and continuous/flash lights, the need to develop a fast coordination to be able to photograph the model ready to step on the runway trying to isolate her from messy contexts, and not disturbing the show’s organization. I’ve really learned a lot and in this field you cannot rely on post-production help, images need to be perfect in camera as retouching time is really minimal. Nothing better to fastly enhance your shooting. A real 360° training experience”.

Marco Garabello – photo-amateur winner of several prizes turned professional photographer after succesfully completing the Runway Workshop, new member of SHOWbit Team

“I’ve attended the Runway Photo Workshop during the menswear fashion week, a more “relaxed” Fashion Week compared to the womenswear one, and more available for those who, like me, are approaching fashion photography for the first time. The experience has been absolutely outstanding and interesting because, contrary to those workshops that are experienced far from the places where the action happens, in this case you work in the field, shoulder to shoulder with those professionals who have been working within the field for years, or even for decades. I suggest this workshop to those who want to develop their capacity of taking precise pictures quikly. Infact the post-production process is very little in this particular case. The framing, the exposure and the model’s figure have to be perfect and caught in few fractions of a second. I’ve learnt a lot. Respect for the professionals who work within this niche field!.
…and it’s not a “commercial” workshop where you are in a big group of 20, 30 or 40 other people. This full immersion is for few people who are the main focus for the tutors and the fee that may seem to be high, actually is really low”.
