Anna Sui took us to the Summer of ’69 with her flowery Spring Summer 2018 collection

The Hadid Sisters opened and closed Anna Sui‘s new Spring Summer 2018 fashion show that took place in New York. At first glance it is clear that the main reference for the designer was the Summer of Love, the Hippie movement and the couterculture of the late ’60s. The long dresses are loose and printed with flowers, astronomical symbols and psychedelic motifs. Reading between the lines, the collection has something to say about today, how? It is practical and the designer’s intention was to propose clothes for different types of women.

In addition, Anna Sui declared that the Bronte Sisters have been a major reference, plus an exhibition she saw at the Museum of Art and Design in New York named “Counter-Couture”.
