A comfort-chic collection for S/S 19
A blend of athletic aesthetic and high-tailoring makes the Weightlessness collection of Ermenegildo Zegna couture, providing a spectacular opening to the Spring 2019 menswear shows in Milan.
The name reflects the intrinsic essence of the lineup, designed by Alessandro Sartori: soft and relaxed, the 48 outfits compose a collection in which functionality meets high-fashion. The materials are then soft and comfortable: they range from wool to silk, knits, nets and laser-cut leather, printed cashmere; checks and stripes are printed on linen crepe; materials are handled in order to create oversized and slouchy volumes.
The athletic mood -that finds its emblem in the drawstring- perfectly bonds with the tailored blazers and suits. Everything is declined in a chromatic palette that explores all natural hues: from mustard to army green to greys and beiges, alongside a closure in a sequence of primary colours.
