The dark side of the suit: Joseph Abboud Fall 2017 at New York Men’s Fashion Week

St. Stephen’s Church, in Lexington Avenue, was the gothic location chosen for the Joseph Abboud’s Fall 2017 fashion show. As the designer declared, the collection was intended to be darker and more mysterious than the previous ones, inspired by authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and the generation of American gothic writers.

The American designer, 66, confirmed what was in the air since the beginning of the European fashion weeks: a return to the suit. The Fall 2017 collection, presented on the first day of New York Men’s Fashion Week, declined this subject re-shaping the silhouette but without losing the mature soul that connotes the brand and the suit itself.
