Jacquemus’ SS 17 collection speaks volumes.

I have never been a fan of voluminous shoulders, because, to me, they are not a statement of femininity. Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus proved me wrong with his SS 17 collection- one that not only took my breath away, but it was a constitution of retro magnificence. Loud and structured shoulders mixed with dropped shoulder looks and tiered puff sleeves were winning details from the show. Models wore straw hats and short block platforms. There were ruffles, a tutu skirt, and polka dots. Jacquemus also used a fair share of lace. His black and white silhouettes paired with hints of red, they were bold yet feminine and romantic. If Madame Coco was here with us, she would have wonderful things to say!
