The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, exclusive event

The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, the first “Oscars”of sustainable fashion that took place in Milan, hosted many important names among celebrities, fashion brands, designers and artists in a gala night.
Teatro alla Scala was chosen as the location, where red pomegranate on gold trunks and the green carpet made the event magic. 
The statuettes delivered to the winners, designed by Chopard, were shaped like pomegranates too.
In the audience designers of the most important fashion houses, and emerging Italian designers, but also artisans and innovative companies.
The event was first sponsored by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in collaboration with the Eco-Age Consulting Company.
Some of the 12 most important awards are: Community and Social Justice, won by Brunello Cucinelli.
The Vogue Eco Laureate Award was handed to top model Gisele Bündchen for her commitment to the Amazon, by the new director of Vogue Italia Emanuele Farneti.
One of the most exciting moments of the evening was when singer Annie Lennox rewarded Pierpaolo Piccioli and his Valentino Maison for The Art of Craftsmanship. 
For the grand finale the four-stars Giorgio Armani, Miuccia Prada, Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino and Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s designers, gathered on stage, being awarded with the prize that Camera Moda dedicated to Research in Sustainability . 
Very important is the new award for Best Emerging Designer dedicated to Franca Sozzani, which Naomi Campbell and Sara Sozzani Maino gave to the roman Tiziano Guardini.
The top model Arizona Muse awarded Gucci as Supply Chain Innovation, while actor Alessandro Roja donated the statuette for Eco Stewardship to Paolo Zegna, President of the Zegna Group.
This evening was intended to send an important message: stars can give the example, showing millions of people how a worldwide business and realm of cool can be and must be eco-friendly and sustainable.
