Fashion East: Matty Bovan, Mimi Wade and Supriya Lele Fall 2017 collections at London Fashion Week

Matty Bovan, Mimi Wade and Supriya Lele are the three young womenswear designers presented by Fashion East this year. Their collections are fresh, young and at the same time very mature and mindful.

Matty Bovan, inspired by sci-fi movies, witchery and contemporary political climate, designed a diverse collection that recalls the 80’s but that’s absolutely something that belongs to our time and that’s close to the concept of art. It’s the second time for Bovan on the Fashion East runway.

“Dial M for Mimi” read the skirts and the cropped sweaters designed by Mimi Wade. The inspiration came from a 60’s actress, “Granny Pammy”, and the result is a hyper-funny and glamorous collection.

Supriya Lele designed a sophisticated, un-finished, and multi-layered colourful Fall 2017.
